You Might Be A Child Of The ’80’s If…

You might be a child of the ’80’s if

1) Your favorite show was Growing Pains with that o’so sexy Kirk Cameron.

Growing Pains

2) You sported a Member’s Only jacket which of course was made popluar by the o’so sexy Kirk Cameron in Growing Pains.

3)When you weren’t watching Growing Pains, you were watching MTV even if they only had 4 videos at the time: Video killed the radio star by the Buggles, Keep on Loving You by REO Speedwagon, Rapture by Blondie, and In the Air Tonight by Phil Collins

4)You owned a boombox or a break dancing mat and tried to be like the dancers from the movie Breakin’ or Breakin’ 2: Electric Boogaloo.

5)You owned an Atari and mastered the pattern to beat Pac-Man or Q-bert.  OOH how I miss Q-bert. Isn’t it funny how Pong started out as a video game, but then turned into a drinking game?

6)You owned a pair of roller skates and spent at least one weekend night every week skating to all of those great hits while wearing your parachute pants and Member’s Only Jacket.

7)When you took your skates off to go home you put on the jellies!!  You had a pair in every color to match your collection of parachute pants along with 100 different slap braclets.

8)Your favorite movies were (and still are) Goonies, Ghostbusters, and Ferris Bueller.

9)When you put on a polo shirt, you snap the collar up and then top it off with a jeans jacket with the collar up too.

10)You still don’t know how to solve the rubrics cube, but you know how to either change the stickers or take it apart and put it back together to make it look like you knew how to figure it out.

What was your favorite thing about the ’80s?

Aside from the jelly shoes, I am 80s. Oh that Kirk and his adventures! Can’t forget the sweet hair styles and acceptance of the mullet.
